Battle Ready Swords - The Real Thing

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:41 pm

The phrase “battle ready” is actually a very self-explaining term. But for those of you who don’t know what it is, battle ready swords are those which were forged in a way that they are fully functional, and thus ready to be used in battle (hence, the term). This means that while these swords will still look really good mounted on the wall; they will be even more useful equipped for actual combat. They are fully sharpened and should come complete with equipment that will keep them in top shape as well as allow the owner to keep them safely.

But why have battle ready swords? There are probably as many reasons why one would want to get battle ready swords as there are reasons why some people would want to keep a real gun when there are replica pistols for sale. They could be for self-defense, sport, hobby or some other reason a person could think of, so long as it’s not illegal.

For example, many people still continue to practice how to use the katana, which would require a fully functional sword like the Hanwei – Bamboo Stick Katana for practice as well as practical use. While one can argue that it’s much safer to use a replica sword for practice, there would still be a difference because the materials used to make a replica sword are different from that of a battle ready sword, which affects the weight. This affects the actual weight felt when using the sword, especially heavy ones like the Two Handed Great Sword – Cold Steel.

Another concern about battle ready swords is the quality. The quality is even more important in the case of a battle ready sword, because you wouldn’t want to end up carrying a poorly done sword into battle just because it said “battle ready” on the label and you believed it. You must look closely at the material. Most good quality battle ready swords like the Paul Chen Han Sword and the Classic Gentleman’s Saber are forged with high quality carbon steel.

Therefore, if you’re keen about quality when getting a replica, then be sure to be even more careful when getting the real thing.
